| Grounded Yoga for Kids, Tweens and Teens "Yoga is a gift of mindfulness that can help bring active minds into union with active bodies and can help both young and old alike learn to discipline both. Our purpose is to teach and share the transformational benefits of yoga with children, teachers and parents seeking balance in their lives. To give them tools to manage their physical and emotional responses to life. Encouraging them to reach for the wisdom within themselves which will enable them to connect with their bodies and feel empowered and confident. Inspired by the children and the adults in our lives, we've created unique programs where we all get grounded, have the freedom to laugh about it and ultimately enjoy the elevation that comes with the practice of Yoga." Grounded Teens ( ages 12 - 15) Today's students often face a long sedentary day sitting at a desk. Some do not even have Physical Education. Classes for Pre-teens and Teens will integrate a deeper understanding of the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga as well as help pre-teens and teens to discover self confidence, positive body health and awareness, emotional balance and tools for stress management. While building strength, balance and concentration, classes will also utilize expressive art, music, writing and discussion to help foster an environment of cooperation and inner well-being.
